Violet
Violet is a 35lb six-year old spayed female German Shepherd mix. She was rescued in 2002 from a ranch near the Mexican border, near Douglas. She was very thin and looked as if she had been wandering the desert for some time.
She is up to date on all of her vaccinations including a rattlesnake vaccination. She is healthy and has no chronic problems. She is a very sweet dog, and very good tempered and gentle with people. She is good with cats. She is good with other dogs. Violet does not bite and has no resource guarding issues.Violet loves to go on walks and is great on and off a leash. She has basic obedience training. She will sit, stay, lie down and come when called and pee on command. Violet is also crate trained.
Violet loves to stay at home and be quiet and petted. She is a hound for attention and likes to put her head in your lap and be stroked. Violet also loves to go camping and is a great hiker and fun to take on outdoor adventures.
Violet is very afraid of thunderstorms. The best home for Violet would be a place where someone would be around more often than not or could bring her to work with them. As Violet will jump a fence when there are thunderstorms or if she is alone too long she would need a yard with a high fence. Violet is currently being fostered in a home with a trainer who is helping her with her fears. She would make a wonderful pet and companion.
